The carnival may be over, but the fun has just begun!

"Ahhhhh"....the sigh of relief that can only come from the completion of a big project! The school's Grand Opening went smashingly! I know that I made it sound like a one man show (or one Kadi show in this case,) but it really was a great example of what team work can do. The handful of parents that actually care to really get involved, work so well together! There were a crap load of people who showed up, way more than I expected. We had a group of high school students who ran the games and did a great job. No fights broke out, I think the school made a good amount of money and clean up wasn't too bad either.

Why am I being so positive? Two reasons. Man cannot live by negativity alone, even if it is funny. So I decided to be positive for a change. Don't get used to it. It is only temporary. Also, I just found out, yesterday, that many of the staff over at the school, read this blog. I know what you're thinking, "Shitballs! Does that mean Kadi has to watch what she says and be nice now?" Nope. Nothing is going to change. Sure, I may get weird looks as I stroll down the corridor of the school. Sure, Melinda, the custodial engineer, may be afraid to offend me now, for fear that I will retaliate (I don't know why. She has some serious muscles and could pop my head like a pimple!) Sure the kid's teachers will probably pity the children even more so, now that they see how twisted their mother truly is. However, I refuse to sacrifice the quality (or lack thereof) of this blog! The sarcastic tone, crude post topics and down right bitchery shall remain daily occurences here at the Inn(sane).

Okay, that being said, on to the highlight of last night's carnival...

We won! We won a basket in the school raffle! There were all kinds of themed baskets, gardening, tail gating, beach fun, bath goodies, Disney, sports, patriotic and many others. So which one did we win? The one with 40 pounds of candy in it, of course! We won the movie night basket. It will actually come in quite handy, as Daniel will be gone to his monthly poker night. The kids know that when dad's away, mom is down for watching movies, gorging ourselves on junk food and passing out on the living room floor.

Oh, I almost forgot. My son kissed a girl, yesterday. It wasn't Trenton, much to my surprise. Daniel Jr. was bragging on the way home from school, yesterday, that he kissed his crush. That isn't even the best part. Apparently, the girl didn't even know that she had been kissed. Daniel said that he kissed his fingers and then positioned himself next to the girl. Then he did the old yawn and stretch move, planting his fingers "accidentally" on her face. I told him that his method was not going to work forever. Eventually he is going to actually have to own his feelings and stop sneaking kisses. He said that he would work his way up to that after they get married. I'm starting to wonder if that kid is ever going to give me grand kids. Of course, Trenton will be providing me with so many, that nobody else will have to!

Happy Friday, everyone!
